Suzan Joy is the co-founder and former director of Solidarity Uganda. An organization committed to training and supporting females, youths activisits and victims of injustice. She has helped movements across Africa and beyond broaden participation and increase impact. Having helped train thousands in civil resistance and nonviolence, Suzan now consults regularly for civil society organizations and international grantmaking organizations. She believes for a better economy, there needs to be a shift from traditional industrial policies to transformational policies. Movements and organizations that are expanding civic space and are creating safe/conducive environments that foster economic development need to be supported. And lastly include every relevant stakeholder in exploring and implementing inclusive, creative Innovations that provide unique and sustainable solutions to community issues.
