Kat is co-founder of Flip Finance, a collective of researchers and practitioners focused on social investment and developing innovative business models across the social economy. She is also an independent consultant and facilitator on projects focused on systems change and prototyping in response to complex social and environmental challenges, and brings over a decade of experience to this work.

Kat’s vision of an economy of the future is to: restore a sense of connection to the living world and natural ecosystems; expand the horizon for decision making and design for the long term; measure what matters for wellbeing (moving beyond GDP as a dominant measure for prosperity); adopt radical transparency and account for the true externalities of supply chains; and prioritise collaborative, transdisciplinary and inclusive action, rebalancing who and what voices get heard.
